Crawling through air vents- Love, Hailee

I'd say this is the worst time of my life. All my sisters and I  are behind bars. I'm hungry. I'm tired. I'm cold. I'm sore. I'm a loser. I thought. Dumb me.
But in the middle of my worries, I heard knocking on my jail cell. I crouched closer to the wall. There it was again. Immediately I started knocking back. Who knows? Could be a stranger. But honey, I could really use a rescue right now.
"Hello?" A voice said through the wall.
I know that voice. It was Carter.
"Carter?" I asked. "Is that you?"
       "Hailee?" She replied.
       "Ya?"
It was her. The tears ran down my cheek. Carter had filled a little hope in my heart.
"Hailee- see that big square on the ceiling of your cell? It's the air vent. Do you think you could get up there and crawl through to my cell?"She asked.
"Whatever it takes" I said. I stood up on a chair in my cell, saw the big square, and examined it. I bit my lip. How In the world could Carter think I can get through this thing? Without thought, I pushed on it. To my surprise, it easily opened. Wow. I said to myself. I pushed myself up and crawled into it. I got myself up and closed the door behind me. I started crawling on my hands and knees. It was like a maze in there. There were twists and turns, I really didn't really know where I was going. But, I guess I got really lucky, because eventually I was on top of Carter's cell. I could see her. She was pacing back and forth, biting her finger nails.
"Carter?" I said. She Immediately looked up.
"Hailee? You did it! I mean... I didn't actually expect you to... Here. Let me help you down.
I opened her air vent door. I let my feet dangle down.
"I'll catch you on the count of three." She said. "One, two.... I mean count to five. One, two, three, four, Five!"
Carter must have been really off, because I landed on my to feet while her eyes were still looking up, with her arms wide open.
          "Uh..." I started.
"Oh." She ran over and hugged me s tight as she could. That's an akward reaction. I thought. But I hugged her back anyway.

Now all we had to do was save our other sisters.
